The only place where Lake Manitoba is traversed by a bridge. The Narrows is located south of Manitou Island where, when winds are strong, the sound of waves crashing on the island makes an unique sound known as the Manitou, or Great spirit. This legend is imbedded in the provinces name – Manitoba.
