Fort Whyte Alive

Fort Whyte Alive is an environmental education centre with trails surrounding an interpretive centre located on 200 acres of land in the south western area of Winnipeg. Great place for the family to learn about wildlife, waterfowl, migrating birds, deer and bison. The facility offers canoe and kayak rentals and lessons during the summer. There is a cross country ski trail (6 km) in winter. A gift shop and restaurant round out the available amenities. Open year round. Check website for fees.
