Located on the west perimeter of City Park, i.e. Assiniboine Park on Roblin Boulevard, Winnipeg the zoo was established in 1904. The total collection contains more than 2000 individual animals. There are the animals of Asia, farm animals from around the world, North American wildlife and birds, a polar bear exhibit which includes a number of arctic animals and birds and there is a discovery centre containing six galleries.
A full day can easily be spent exploring this fascinating facility.
